Accommodations
Since accommodation can become expensive in summer, we encourage attendees to book early. Besides the options listed below, we encourage you to also consider private apartments through airbnb.com, booking.com or similar sites. Remember to check for discounts through associations such as AAA, CAA, and CAUBO.
There are some inexpensive hostels/hotels near downtown Vancouver. We strongly recommend you check online reviews if considering these options.
The prices below exclude taxes and fees, and are based on information gathered in October 2019. Please check the individual webpages for updates.

YWCA Hotel Vancouver
The YWCA Hotel provides comfortable and affordable accommodation in downtown Vancouver. Guest of all genders are welcome. As a social enterprise hotel, all revenue generated goes to support the YWCA community programs and services. It is located less than one kilometre from the downtown Vancouver campus of Simon Fraser University.
Rates range from CAN $106.00 to CAN $220.00 per night depending on the room type, plus taxes and fees, and optional parking.

SFU Burnaby Private Residence Rooms
The SFU Burnaby Private Residence Rooms are private single occupancy rooms on the campus of SFU Burnaby, with shared co-ed washrooms.
They are located 16km east of the downtown Vancouver campus of Simon Fraser University, but easily accessible via a 45 minute bus ride on the #95 B-line bus.
The private residence rooms may be booked any time via the form here.
You can book also book a Quad Townhouse Unit with Kitchen ($195.00 per unit per night plus taxes). Important: Townhouse Unit bookings are a minimum two night stay and are booked by the unit, not the individual bedrooms within the unit. For this, use the reservation form here to identify that you are with FoCM. Select SFU FoCM (Jun/15/2020 to Jun/24/2020) from the drop-down menu to proceed to the reservation request page. Booking must be done before April 30, 2020 while rooms are available.
UBC Studio Suites and Premium Singles
The UBC Studio Suites and Premium Singles provide safe and affordable accommodation in a beautiful setting on the campus of the University of British Columbia.
They are located 13km from SFU Harbour Centre, but easily accessible via a 40 minute bus ride on the #14 bus. Updated: Options include a single ($49) or twin ($93) room at the Pacific Spirit Hostel, a studio room at Gage Apartments ($196), a one bedroom suite at Gage Apartments ($241), a studio room at Ponderosa Studios ($171), and a West Coast Suite ($343). Taxes and fees apply.
We strongly advise you to book your accommodation now. You can cancel without penalty up to 3 days before arrival.
